Dr. Sara A. Tyler is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has been in private practice for seven years. Sara has a Doctorate in Social Work from Capella University, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Kansas State University, a Master’s degree from the University of Kansas, and an Educational Specialist from the University of Missouri. She has studied gender differences in Autism including the late recognition of Autism Spectrum Disorder in females.
Sara specializes in trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, and depression. Sara uses several treatment modalities including EMDR, DBT-informed, CBT, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychotherapy. Sara is a lifelong learner and loves adding her therapy models to help clients. Sara has four children and has called Columbia home for 18 years. When she isn’t in school, she spends time with friends, traveling, and painting.
Sara works with ages 12 and up. She offers individual sessions for $150/hour, and she is in network with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Optum, UMR, UHC/UBH.
